Ingredients

  • 500 g ground beef
  • 100 g cheddar cheese, sliced
  • 4 burger buns
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 jalapeño pepper, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Lettuce leaves, for serving
  • Tomato slices, for serving
  • Pickles, for serving
  • Hot sauce, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, jalapeño, cayenne pepper, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well incorporated.
  2. Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape them into patties.
  3. Heat a grill pan or frying pan over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on one side.
